The Reserva from the Swiss roastery Coffee Space is an extremely rare and exceptional specialty coffee, clearly aimed at experienced coffee lovers. Particularly noteworthy is the high proportion of the coveted Geisha variety, which is prized worldwide for its elegance, floral depth, and complexity.
Flavor Notes: Rum and black elderberry.
In the cup, the Reserva presents itself as intense, complex, and surprisingly elegant—with dark fruitiness, delicate rum aromas, and a deep, harmonious sweetness that lingers long on the palate.

This exclusive SHB coffee grows at around 1,850 meters above sea level in the renowned Tarrazú district in Costa Rica. The unique microclimate, shaped by the proximity to the Irazú volcano as well as the ocean, encourages a particularly slow maturation of the coffee cherries and ensures exceptional aromatic density. During the harvest, weeds are removed exclusively by hand; pesticides and fertilizers are completely avoided. The ripe cherries are carefully hand-picked and selected.
The varieties grown include Geisha, SL28, Typica, and Paraiso. The coffee is first processed as Black Honey, which preserves part of the fruit pulp and creates additional sweetness and depth. This is followed by the absolute highlight: a controlled fermentation in rum barrels. This rare aging process gives the coffee its characteristic depth, complex rum notes, and makes the Reserva a true rarity in the specialty coffee sector.
