The Playful from the Swiss roastery Coffee Space is a lively, expressive specialty coffee from Costa Rica that delights with its floral elegance and complex fruitiness.
Flavor Notes: Floral, bergamot, hibiscus, cherries, and nuts.
In the cup, the Playful is multi-layered and playful – with floral lightness, citric freshness, fruity depth, and a finely nutty balance.

This SHB coffee is grown in the renowned Tarrazú region in Costa Rica at an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters above sea level. The unique microclimate, influenced by its proximity to the Irazú volcano and the sea, results in an exceptionally aromatic and naturally sweet coffee cherry. During harvest, weeds are removed exclusively by hand, and the use of pesticides or fertilizers is completely avoided. The ripe cherries are carefully hand-picked and sorted.
The Caturra and Catuai varieties are processed using Yeast Washed Processing. This is a strictly controlled, yeast-supported fermentation process that utilizes natural microorganisms. A small portion of the fruit pulp (0–10%) is intentionally left on the seed to support natural fermentation and enhance aromatic complexity.
